This game is absolutely ridiculous. I bought it forever and a half ago, but I gave up because I FSKING HATE SNIPERS.
So, I beat Crisis Core about fifteen times and decide I'll give Dirge of Cerberus a second chance.
It took me an hour just to complete the training level.
WTH.
D:
Any tips on how to not suck? Are there like cheat codes or something that make it easy? 'cause I really just cannot stand the gameplay here.
Like... it would be one thing if we were going Wii-style with this and I could actually shoot like an arcade game. That would be beyond amazing, but it just all seems unnecessarily complicated.

Ah it does seem horribly complicated at first. The only thing I can offer is lots of practice. I'm not the greatest at it, but I finally managed to stop dying a billion times. Though I waste more ammo than I should. D:

Snow In my head there's always threat of zombie invasion and every gun should be treated as if it's semi-automatic. <3~
Mikari. Yeah, it's basically Gackt popping out of nothingness and being like, "It's not over. Prepare to be sequel'd."

Fat chance. If the next game isn't Cloud again, I'll be absolutely floored. It's gonna take somebody pretty big to beat G.
Unless we let Gackt have his own game and set him opposite Sephiroth.
Sephiroth's more Cloud-obsessed these days, though. I'm sure he'd find an exception for an old friend. /:

The Turks deserve their own game that isn't for japanese cell phones!
Genesis and Sephy don't sound like enemies. "Let's sound the end together, brother."

I don't know. Seph and Genesis seem more like friendly rivals. From what I saw, it seemed Genesis was pretty bent on being Speh/taking his place/ being better than him *shrug*

I don't buy it. As soon as someone's like, Hey, why don't you go die of your terrible terminal illness, I don't think you're ever gonna wanna be friends again.

Eh, advice is two months late, but the best advice I can offer for FPS type games is KEEP MOVING. Never stop..otherwise you're an easy target. Zigzag, strafe in circles around the enemy, run in random sporadic directions, just never stand still. Jumping makes it harder to lock on to you as well....er...wait...was there jumping in DoC? *doesn't remember*
Try to find cover if you have snipers on your ass, and take out whoever is on ground level with you while under that cover (alley or whatever may be near)
Hm...what else...oh yeah, don't get boxed in or surrounded (it's obvious, but I know I used to think I could quickly just kill one side then turn around and deal with the other. Erm. Yeah. Never worked out so well...) always circle around one of the sides so both are in front, then you can just take them out with something that has a scatter shot.
I used to be TERRIBLE at FPS games...but I are getting better recently. I've been playing some Halo 3 at my friends ^^; I used to only get like...0-2 kills per game. Now I sometimes get 20+

There once was a time many years ago when Mikari played FPS on the computer, specifically Doom and Heretic for PC, and this other game that was a terminator rip off forgot its name.

I think my first ever FPS was the original wolfenstein ^^; then several years later I played a bit of counter strike at my high school (maybe an hours worth total XP) then nothing until I started playing a bit of Halo 3 at my friends place ^^; I might have played a bit of Halo 2...but since I didn't know what I was doing, I just got the rocket launchers and blew the crap out of everything that moves...including my team mates.
Lawls. Betrayal.

I've never fired a gun in real life...but I do have this feeling I'd be alright at it. I know I generally do good in light gun video games where you aim an actual gun....and I'm not so bad with darts and stuff <.<;
I really want to go to a shooting range someday T___T

Just make sure you stay out of the Turks shooting range when I'm in it or I can't guarantee that you'll survive my lack of aim. I've only played mouse or keyboard aiming games, not the plastic gun type.
