There was a time in which Heroes lived. They traveled our lands and protected us, blessed by divine light. They alone were our salvation. However, even the greatest of heroes have a weakness, and for one woman's weakness a whole nation paid. The elves, once the great warriors, paid the price during that war. Our sixteen best lost to us. Lost to us by ambush by the dark gods. After all, only a god could have beaten them. With the despair of losing them, people joined together so their deaths be not in vain. That, my child is how the war was won. By the joining of all nations together. By the hope of each person. In hope, no one is powerless. There is strength in numbers, and we never lack numbers.
That was how the story went now in a few of the books. Some stories told of a dark pact that the elves made to try and win, only to have it backfire and wipe out the strongest of its clan. Still more stories said, that a single elven troop betrayed it's people and in doing so were punished with eternal sleep. In their eternal sleep they were cursed with nightmares and to never see the world again. Some believed a mixture of all the stories, saying that the heroes were given power by gods, only to have abused it and to have been killed. Their spirits still wandering the old Elven lands.
But who could tell fact from fiction anymore? In fact, most people didn't care about the old stories. The war was long gone and they had no reason to believe in some children's story. Only the oldest elves knew the truth, and they feigned ignorance in their shame. Saying that in the times of grief they had long forgotten the horrible wars of old. While lies were not the complete common language, it was growing harder to find the honest tongue of the Spirit.
If you could speak to one's spirit, then that would open up a gateway to the olden days. The days in which they walked. The times in which they fought. History has a way of repeating itself, and life always has a way of creeping up on a man. That just when you think you've got it down, it takes you on a ride that makes you believe you've never known right from left.
They stood together, huddled in a mass. Each bewildered and more confused then the one next to them. A total of sixteen of them, a world they had never seen before towered over them. Shadows cast over practically everything. It may have been night, but not even the stars were there. No this darkness was different.
Her silver eyes wide with shock, she could barely say anything or comprehend what was going on. Her heart jumped to her throat, there were monsters everywhere and people living in peace with them. But they were so loud. So pushy. A peace in which people seemed to not care for one another. To each his own it seemed. Far different than they had ever known. Her breaths shortened, she heard an inaudible voice. "We may not know this world, but I know this feeling." her hand reached to her chest where it paused in a fist as if she were concentrating all the energy into it.
"This is the feeling of war." "Again?!" "Are you sure it's again, and not still?" "If that's the case, what's with the weird buildings?" "New strongholds, perhaps."
If that were the case, were they smack dab in the middle of enemy territory? How they wished that to be the case. They could feel The elven energies in some of those places. The distinct features of humans and dwarfs walking among them also screamed that it was illogical. On the horizon fire and the scent of blood carried to their senses. Orcs and goblins as well as a handful of vampires rushed toward the large monuments which had left them in a bewildered awe.
A woman's voice echoed in each heart of the sleeping warriors. "In heroes, they once trusted, only to betray. In heroes they once relied, only to discard. They offered no comfort and valued you even less. Forgiveness and aid they need, from only those who can hear the spirit's call. To the heroes of the spirit, we call forth. Now, hear our cry, our prayer."
A second woman whispered, "The darkness once again begins to cast a dark shadow upon us. I fear, that with our children's current state, all will be lost."
A man's voice now spoke. "You need not concern yourself with details. Know only that you are the last of your kind."
"The last of our kind?" Rei repeated, "What has happened?" her voice rang true and loud to her fellow warriors. It was only moment later she was engulfed in light. Her friends, her family, were they all gone? She heard them clearly. As clearly as they had been standing there, but never had she seen them. She could feel them, but her eyes never gazed upon them.
Light embraced each warrior restoring them from the Millennium of Sleep. A foreboding dream was only the start of their troubles. They still had sleep to push from their bodies, minds and souls. They still had discoveries to make and memories to regain.
Rei gasped for air as though she hadn't breathed in quite some time. Her eyes refused to open right away. What shocked her awake she could not be sure. Was it the dream? The words? The feeling? So many questions flew through her mind. Her head effectively ran circles around her. She chided her mind to get a grip, to just stop and analyze things later. She would speak to the others, see if they had such a dark dream. With her mind calming she took another breath. The cold air stung as she still could not open her eyes.
"Vesellus," she squeaked. Mornings were the worst. Upon hearing no response her eyes shot open. He had always answered, even if he were asleep. "Vesellus?" Her one source of comfort seemed to slip away...unless, perhaps he was up already. But why let her sleep? Her eyes refused to properly adjust. For five or so minutes she laid there. Her ears straining to hear what was happening in the rest of the household. Nothing. She heard nothing. Why she had been doing this the difficult way, she couldn't be sure. She listened once more, this time with her spirit. This caused her to force her body from bed. Again, she heard nothing. She felt nothing. "Vesellus?" she called again. May haps he was teasing her into thinking she was alone, only to pounce her with hugs and kisses.
"No." she said, "That's not it at all." Her voice reached no more than a whisper each time she spoke. It was as though she hadn't done so in a very long time. She turned to get out of bed, only to find she were dressed for battle and that her clothes were far more worn than she remembered. Her head once again began to race circles around her. "Silence!" she demanded in her loudest voice to her own thoughts. As she stood, she felt her legs give out beneath her. She stumbled only to hit against the night stand in attempts to grab on to something for support. She lacked any strength in any part of her body it seemed. She lay on the hardwood flooring of her bedroom, staring at the abnormally aged ceiling.
"Something dreadful has happened." she mouthed.

"The last of our kind?"
That voice, so familiar and so lovely to his ears called to him louder then the disembodied voices that spoke of war and need. His eyes sought her through this dreamy haze, only to find that blinding light was creeping at the corners of his vision, Quickly stealing him from this place and pushing him forward, farther and farther away from his beloveds voice as the final words she spoke rang through his mind, Filling him will a sense of dread.
"What has happened?!"
His eyes shot open as a roar tore its way from his throat and outward into his dark surroundings. His fists pounded against stone as he shot up, his body screaming a thousand aches and pains from inactivity as his gray eyes searched in vain to identify this foreign place. It smelled of soil and stone, of old death and rats. For a moment, he fancied himself dead, and the dream of his beloved a cruel trick of the fates before sending him to limbo.
"REI!" He called, his hands immediately going for the weapon that lay at his hip, only to find that it was no longer there. His hand felt for the leather loop that had held it, searching for a break, but as his hands gripped the strap he found it chewed by the aforementioned pestilence.
He stopped his fumbling and stood perfectly still, giving his eyes a few more moments to adjust to the dark as his nose and ears told him that he was indeed alive, strange sounds and scents reaching past the stone walls and bombarding his senses.
His brow furrowed as he started to recognize a few of the smells and sounds, and his returning eye sight confirmed it. He was in a mausoleum, having been placed on the stone floor of this house of the dead and had seemingly been there for quite a long time as the shape of where he had lain was outlined with years of dust. His Axe was laying next to his outline, covered with dust as well but otherwise in one piece.
Vesellus quickly picked up the weapon, looking it over with a trained eye for rust or any other form of blemish, but ole' Aris was in good shape and still as sharp as when he had taken her from the blacksmith. As he inspected her, His minds reached for what had lead him to be placed here...
And he doubled over as if he had been punched in the gut as the memory of his daughters murder ripped through his mind, leaving a trail of other memories in its wake. He braced himself with one hand against the cold stone wall as he grit his teeth against the powerful emotions that threatened to overwhelm him.
Rage had made him thirst for revenge, but his wife's grief had lead him to take matters into his own hands as those they served tried to silence Rei's Cries of loss. He had set out in the evening to wreak havoc upon those that had committed such a crime, only to be overcome with exhaustion. He had stopped to rest..
'And now here we are. No use sitting around here anymore.' His mind chided as he probed the wall for an opening. His hands slid over the smooth stones deftly, seeking that tell tale indent that would lead him to the exit.
'there we are...' His hand caught the latch and turned..
Only to find the door was locked. He jiggled the latch several times, pushing and pulling to see if the door would give, and nothing. The heavy oaken door didn't budge. He quickly stepped back and slammed his shoulder into it, his body screeching as a thousand aches and pains cried out in protest but he ignored them as he slammed into it once more. The door gave on the second slam, opening just a bit as a grin of triumph spread across his features. A few more pushes and he would be home free...

It was weird, Kari had to admit, to dream about a memory. What struck her as strange was that this particular memory she was dreaming about had never happened to her in her life and yet, she felt like she should've been able to remember it.
"The last of our kind?" Kari's head turned to face the shocked, sorrowful expression that adorned her leader's face. To be honest, she felt rather unnerved as well, but couldn't figure out why.
"What has happened?" Rei asked, but got no answer because shortly after that, a white light appeared, bathing herself and her companions with its brightness. Kari tried squinting to see past it, but it grew brighter and unconsciously, she opened her mouth to scream...
Blue eyes snapped open and her stomach sank in with the effort to breath. But almost immediately, it came back out as Kari coughed violently, ridding her body of years and years of dust as she struggled to push the air back into her small form. Finally she stopped. Kari felt like she hadn't breathed in years.
'What's going on...?' She asked herself, shaking her head as if the action would help her clear her mind. She swung her legs over the bed and stood up, only to crumple on to the floor below her. She glanced up, eyes narrowing slightly towards the ceiling.

'REI!" she heard him call her as though it he were standing right here. Her eyes widened, what cruel fate had come to this? They were seperated and she didn't know why. "Ah Vesellus," she spoke, "I think that something dark looms over the horizon. I fear, that we are the only ones who can do anything about it."
Rei sat against the bed, a sigh escaped her lips, there was dust everywhere. And when she moved she had disturbed it. She gave a cough as the dust puffed around her. "I feel peace." she continued, "it won't last long." she gave another sigh, hoping her body had adjusted enough to whatever was going on. Her weapon was attatched to her wrist and seemed half the length of a straw. She withdrew it form it's resting place, lengthening the pole. Now using it as walking support.
Rei made her way through her home - Old and tattered - she hardly recognized it. She had a mishap with the staircase, thankfully she was awake enough her reflexes reacted so she came out unharmed. But there was little way she'd make it back to the second floor. Now she didn't trust the foundation of her home. Just yesterday it was in perfect condition.

"The last of our kind? What do you mean? What's going on?"
There was a feeling of foreboding in the air and at a time when Crazua would normally roll over and wish for a few extra hours or even minutes of sleep she instead stared at the ceiling. "Am I still dreaming?" She was awake and oddly enough she felt as if she had been sleeping for a long time before that. She got up slowly and stretched finding that it felt kind of odd. "Something has happened, houses do not become this old overnight..."

The lightning arced overhead, and illuminated the face of the frozen titan. Dual scimitars crossed behind his back, and weird-looking wooden armor covered his chest. A good twenty piercings lined his six inch ears, and several tattoos rolled down his arms and chest. His back was covered by a very old tribal symbol, which prevented him from harm from any type of fire magic as long as he could keep thinking of a specific word, which he had deemed, battaro. It was the elven word for water. His white hair fell loose around his face, having decided to cut it shortly before he was frozen in place. Unlike the rest of the elves of old, Dirk had been frozen before the time of the great sleep. Before his whole species went to slumber. Before times got bad. Before the wars started up again. Before his family and friends died. Dirk would have died with them, had he not been frozen.
So Dirk, big as life itself, buried in the center of a tree, frozen in green ice, directly next to a major city slept, and waited. His time for waiting, however, was up. With the last bolt of lightning from the storm, a blast of electricity split the tree down the center in an enormous explosion, which threw the crystal from it’s resting place, and onto the ground several feet away. It had shattered, but held together.
The eyelids opened slowly, sleepy still, not ready to wake. The vision was filled with green mist, but Dirk remained calm. He flexed… cracking noises. Signs that the crystal had been weakened. The massive elf flexed once more, more cracking. He opened his mouth wide, and let out a phrase that sent the glass shattering into hundreds of thousands of tiny pieces. “Col ‘e Roke.”
Dirk stood up, and stretched his arms to the sky, cracking his back and swallowing a gulp of air. The dream… the dream. It made him want to go to the city. The city, what was in the city? He put his hood up, and walked in, only to find that everything had changed.

With a groan of wood and the scream of it splintering, Vesellus found himself thrust into the light of day, The harsh rays of the sun burning his darkness attuned eyes blind for a few moments as he lay in the cool grass. His head throbbed as much as his muscles did, and with a gasp he pushed himself up and into a standing position as his eyes tried to blink away the bursts of color that danced like faeries in his vision.
"Rei..." He whispered closing his eyes, Her voice whispering him on the wind as he bit down hard on his lower lip trying to quell the emotions that continued to rise and crash against him, eroding his already tattered senses.
'Stop, this isn't helping anything. Your daughter is dead and your wife might be as well, and you dint have time to feel anything but rage.' His mind hissed as the taste of his own blood filled his mouth. He opened his eyes and focused them on his surroundings...
Only to find them like nothing he had ever seen before. He was standing in a graveyard, but instead of a forest at its fenced boarders, there were... things. Things unlike he had ever seen. He wandered down the small grassy hill to the fence, easily hoisting himself over as he approached a seemingly metallic box with wheels on it. It glittered in the sun light, his hand reaching out to touch the silvery surface as suspicion snaked up his spine. He must have been hauled into enemy territory and thrown into that mausoleum for dead... But he had not known the enemy had towers that seemed to hang from the sky, nor metal boxes that glittered in the sun.
"This... This is sorcery!" He croaked, his parched throat adding to the aches and pains that pecked incessantly at his mind. He had to survey the area and see if he couldnt find his way back to Rei, and inform her of his discovery.

Crazua stretched and tried to push away the feeling of being disoriented. She knew where she was but something was definitely very different and it make her feel confused. Once on her feet she started to investigate her surroundings confirming just how old her home had become. Was it due to some kind of spell casted on her house? If that was the case why didn't she wake up? Things made little to no sense but she wasn't just going to stand there. She would go out and figure it out. Maybe the other Spirit Warriors knew what was going on.

In a present day school in city not too far away... "And that's what happened..." Tasal M. Tanei, one of the children's favorite elementary school teacher finished his lesson. "Or at leasts that's what the book says." They didn't want him making up stories about spirit warriors and the such. If he were to tell the children those stories he was to do it during recess or lunch for those who gather around outside and listen and he was to specifically say it was all a fictional story for their entertainment. But the vampire had lived long enough to know that the Spirit Warriors did exist once upon a time long ago.

After letting her eyes readjust she took a deep breath. She looked about the world around her but saw nothing. Her home had braced her for trouble, but she had not been expecting to see her friend's homes in the same condition. She was taken aback by the world in front of her, tattered homes, everything was lifeless. In her disbelief she did what she always did when she was unsure. She felt out the life force of her warriors.
"Crazua.." She said, "Kari, Dirk..." as her mind and spirit wandered searching for more, she saw images of most of them sleeping. All except Vesellus. She didn't find him. Something was blocking her. Was he dead? She bit her lip, she didn't want to give into that doubt. She already felt like she was missing more than enough in her life. "No." Rei then said, "I woul dknow the minute his life force left this world."

In Miavta Police Department, the short blind elf sat at his desk. He was minding his own business, as always. As well as Divine powers would allow at least. "What is it chief?" Nitaly asked running his hand through his hair to get it out of his eyes.
"Nothin'." the human replied. "A lot of the guys are worried about ya. They say you ain't moved all day."
Nitally looked up with his glass like eyes. "Oh. It's nothing." he replied.
"Nothin' yeah." the chief scoffed. "I know you better than that!"
"I just had the wierdest dream." Nitaly answered.
"ANother crime?"
"I don't think so." Nitaly answered. "This one had sixteen people in it."
"Syndicate?"
"Naw, I don't think so at all. They were confused, hurting." Nitaly replied, "But not bad. It's been a long time since I've had a dream that hinted on coming good." While he was a full grown man by age, he stood only 5 foot two. He looked more like a child than anything. He had been trained as an Oracle and joined Miavta PD to help prevent crime. Normally he had flashes of murder and other troubles. He fell asleep at his desk and had a dream about the Spirit Warriors.
"Vigilantes?" the chief then said.
Nitaly laughed, "Naw, elves. But like I said chief, I don't know."

In what seemed like an hour, Kari allowed herself to slowly rise up to her feet, a soft whining leaving her throat as her muscles were stretched. It felt like she hadn't moved in so long and so, she took extra care in making sure the stiffness had left her form before heading to the door.
Kari didn't know what she expected to see when she opened the door. Maybe children elves running down the streets, laughing while they were chasing butterflies. Maybe the elderly elf who always sat in her chair during the afternoon to gaze out at the scenery. Maybe nothing but the clear blue sky and the bright sun, with wind coming to play with her hair and clothes. Maybe everything, from the people bussling down the streets to creatures of unknown sorts.
But not this.
Definately not the weathered fences that surrounded equally as old houses. There was something of shining essence that she had never seen before. It stood solid and shone brightly in the sun, but the round circular wheel-like things did not. It looked threatening and Kari did not dare approach it at all. In the distance, she could see structures that clouded the sky, reaching almost the clouds and suddenly, Kari could hear nothing. She glanced up, taking in the gigantic bird that also shown as brightly as the box-like thing on wheels.
She was scared, tears ebbing the edges of her eyes and she threw herself back into the house, slamming the door behind her.
"What has happened here?" She whispered, small form shaking with terror.

Crazua made her way outside and stared at the world as if she had somehow been transported to an entirely different world than the one she remembered. What happened? Whatever place that was, whatever had happened, she wanted to know. She rushed in direction to Rei's house almost expecting to find herself in the middle of a battle on the way. After all someone or something must have cause all that damage that made her house look like it was a thousand years old. But no battle occurred which just made things even more strange. Maybe the other Spirit Warriors could clarify things for her, she had to find them. For a second she wondered if Tasal was alright.

It was recess time for the students and Tasal sat outside staring at the sky. "Today is..." he sneezed. "Just an ordinary day when nothing interesting happens..."

"FREEZE!"
Vesellus did indeed freeze as he heard the sound of something clicking and the sharp, tell tale sign of gunpowder. His dark eyes sought out the source of the voice, Female despite the rough, forced authoritative tone in her voice. He turned and beheld a small human woman with golden hair and pointing a small black object at him.
"God you guys just get weirder and weirder eh? Whats with the ancient gear... Drop your weapon."
He stared at her with a particularly puzzled expression. Who was this woman to tell him what to do? He folded his arms across his chest and stood firm as he spoke.
"I am not going to be taking any orders from you my lady. I am simply trying to get back to my home, and I will not drop my weapon when you point yours at my person. You drop YOUR weapon, and I will be on my way."
Leona raised a quizzical eyebrow at the man in front of her, laughter bubbling up in her throat.
"Sir, You just vandalized that piece of cemetery property, your have a lethal and I'm pretty sure illegal weapon in your hands, and from the look of your clothes, you haven't had a place to call home in a very, very long time."
"How DARE you insult me like that! Of course I have a home, and a wife as well. Surely you know of us, Rei and Vesellus!"Leona's Chocolate colored eyes widened and she took a breath. She had thought the guy was some kind of angry hobo, but now she knew he had to be some kind of psych patient.
"Nice try sir, but everyone knows that children's tale. My own grampa would tell me it before I would go to sleep so I would stay in bed. Your coming with me to the station." Leona pulled out her radio.
"This is Wies, I'm bringing in a large elf male, about six one, six two and really big. He has an Axe on him and is wearing some really old clothes. Check for any escaped mental patients who called themselves Vesellus."
He couldn't believe the great insult this woman was heaving on him, and then to expect him to go with her? Straight to the enemy no doubt! He turned around and quickly started to walk away.
"..HEY! Sir, STOP right there!"
"I will not stand here and listen to you insult me. I'm going home." He called over his shoulder, his anger lending a bite to his words as he walked toward the line of tree's about half a mile away from where he stood.
"SIR, if you don't stop moving I will be forced to use drastic measure." She warned, but he ignored her as his thoughts turned to hi wife, and his fellow warriors. He would have to hurry back before Rei made her attack and ran straight into this madhouse of enemy territory.
Leona sighed at the back of the tall figure, rolling her eyes as she withdrew her taser and aimed the spring loaded paralysis inducing device at his back, and quickly fired.
His eyes went wide with shock as the agony that tore through his back and nerves caused him to fall to his knees. Such a strong force rivaled even the thunder magic that he had almost grown accoustmed to dodging. His vision started to gray, and before he passed out he cursed himself for turning his back on her.

Crazua had been running for a while confused by her very different surroundings. "I got to find everyone..." She thought. The structures she had found after a bit of walking were immense reaching almost to the skies. Strange metal carriages moved around the strange town without horses and there was sound and energy all around. She spun in circles taking in the view as random passerbys gave her odd looks. "This is so amazing!" Most people stayed away from her as they were certain she must be insane.

Tasal leaned back in his chair, it was break time and also time to drink his medicine. He was glad that he could drink that instead of blood since he was terrified of it. Of course he remained totally oblivious tot he fact that he was simply drinking artificially colored and flavored blood. He yawned and shifted in his chair behind the desk. "Sometimes I miss the old days..."

Nitaly was first to answer the call. He had nothing better to do and he was most certainly not going back to sleep. "Vesellus?" he queried. "Are you positive?" Still it wasn't like Leona to joke about something like that. The last man he knew named Vesellus was a large, great warrior. 'Oh no' he thought, what if she makes him mad? Again thoughts turned in his head. Leona didn't need back up, ever that he had known of. Nitaly heard something about drastic measures. 'The tazer..but how will..she carry him back?' The thought caused him to chuckle. "Chief!" Nitaly called, "Wies is in over her head again!"
-=-=-=-=- (( OOC: By the way, the warriors live in a worn down part of town that is generally ignored by the public. =D They can get to all the scary big machinery rather easily. ))
Vatica had just gotten out of classes for the day, he loved half days. Now he was headed to the usual spot, maybe to do his favorite thing. Second favorite thing, swimming and getting his way was his first favorite thing. He walked along the sidewalks, half listening to his pals chat about girls.
"Ain't seen one yet worth my time." Vatica chimed in. "She'd have to be a Goddess or something." Looking to his right, he saw a young elven woman, with white hair and silver eyes. And for once in his life Vatica stood in an awed silence. His eyes widened as she stepped off the sidewalk into traffic. "LOOK OUT!" he called.
Her ears raised to the screeching of tires and the yell of a child. She had started to wander, half amazed and half frightened by what she saw. Her silver eyes stared at the driver of the oncoming vehicle. She showed no signs of moving or even processing she was in trouble. In the next instant two cars rammed together. She was unhurt standing in confused awe on top of one of the two metallic monsters. No one had seen her move.
"How..curious?" she mumbled. "What's going on?" From her higher position she spotted an amazed Crazua. Rei whistled as loudly as she could, it had once been a call to her warriors to gather. It was high pitched and annoying.
Someone had called 911 and the police. Before Rei could call out to her companion, she was seized and dragged off of the top of the vehicle. "Unhand me!" she demanded.
Vatica looked at her quizzically, while she spoke an understandable language, it seemed to be rather thick with accent.
"I said unhand me, boy." Rei repeated. Her silver eyes seemed to pierce his very soul but he would not let go.
"Look, I'm tryin' to help you!" Vatica argued. "Just pipe down, or the cops'll come."
"What is this 'cops'?" she queried.
"Police? Law enforcement?" Vatica replied, almost looking at her like she was crazy, but finding himself more and more infatuated as she spoke.
"Law enforcement?" Rei smiled, "Good, I should very much like to speak to your leader."
"I am my leader!" Vatica argued, referring to being the leader of his group of friends.
"You lead this colony?" Rei asked, perplexed by the boys power at such a young age.
"Yeah, sure." Vatica replied, his eyes darting back and forth, he was only concerned about avoiding the cops. He turned to pull Rei aside only to run into a police officer.
He sighed, "I shoulda known." He turned to his partner. "It's Lee again, let them know we're bringin' him in with a woman."
His partner made the call only to pause, "What's she look like?"
"Elven; 'Bout 5'9 white hair, silver eyes." replied the first officer.
With that, both Vatica and Rei were ushered into the back seat of the car and headed to the station.
The second officer looked back. "Guys are gonna love this Lee. You finally get a girlfriend and you're both gettin' arrested."
Vatica mocked the officer mouthing everything he had said.
"What is..'girlfriend'?" Rei asked. It wasn't a term she had heard before.
"She's an interesting one too." The driver commented with a chuckle. "Why'd you get her involved, Vatica?"
"I didn't!" the dark haired boy replied. "I mean, she..uh...I don't even know her."
As they pulled into the station, the officer's exchanged glances. It wasn't like Vatica to cause accidents, he was only into tagging.

Tasal watched as the children went home some picked up by their parents other taking the bus. It was one of of those days when class ended early due to teacher conferences and the such. He didn't like those. He liked working with children but he didn't like those boring reunion. Skillfully avoiding the other teachers he managed to sneak out of the school and back to his car only to be caught in a traffic jam. "Aw great..." He listened to the radio in boredom and wondered if it was worth it having escaped.

Crazua was suddenly alert as she heard a high pitched wistle that she recognized as Rei's call. "Rei!" She rushed in the direction of the sound hopping from one metal beast to another but it seemed she had lost Rei. "Rei where did you go?" Was she eating by one of those metal monsters? She continued her monster hopping until she stopped atop a black mercedes to try to orientate herself so she could better determine how to find Rei...
Tasal heard a thump on the roof of his car. The others drivers seemed rather agitated but he thought it was just the traffic jam getting on their nerves. He opened the window and peeked out. Sure enough an elf that looked a lot like Crazua was sitting on top of his car.
She looked at him in surprise. "Tasal? I'm so glad I found you. What in the world is going on? Did you see where Rei went?"
"I um... Ah..." He muttered incoherently for a few seconds before spotting an open parking space in front of a backed good shop and heading th at way. He got out of the car and stared at the elf sitting on its roof. "Crazua? Are you really? No you couldn't be..."
"Tasal Mip Tanei what has happaned to you? Of course I am Crazua, have you forgotten me? What is happening, what are all these strange things? And where is Rei?" Crazua asked.
"Well if she was car hopping like you that would get her arrested" Tasal said. "Maybe the cops already found her"
"What is car hopping and why would a cup find anyone, is it a soft of enchanted cup you speak of?" Crazua asked.
"No that's not quite it... Oh wow I can't believe this... for you to be back after so long and just out of the blue" Tasal said. He didn't know where to begin explaining.
"Have you not been drinking blood from fear again? You appear to be slightly pale" Crazua said.
Tasal stared at her. She knew about that, this was the Crazua he remember from long ago no doubt but he still had so many questions. "Get inside the car, I'll take you to the station to see if Rei is there and I'll explain as much as I can on the way"

"I....*uggh* Should have.....Shot You....You....*urk!* HUGE...."
Leona cursed as she lugged the stunned elfin mans body to her cruiser, which happened to be parked very, very far from her current location. She gripped his wrist and yanked hard to get the gargantuan man to move along the grass, and it had taken the better part of 10 minutes to get him half the distance to the cruiser.
She wiped the sweat from her brow and quickly tightened her grip and pulled him up another few inches, the cruiser was in sight, glittering white and blue in the hot sun.
"You had to go and walk away..... *huff* Big man that you are.... You didnt...WANT to listen to me..." She cursed as she strained to get him to the car.
Even in this stunned state, Vesellus maintained a state of semi consciousness. The powerful weapon the woman had used had rendered him unable to move and barely able to speak. He grunted as the woman dragged him, sticks and rocks poking and scratching him as she carelessly dragged him like a carcass.
'I should have known better then to turn my back..' He hissed in his mind as fragmented thoughts pieced together long enough for him to utter a curse. He felt like he was slipping in and out of a dream as the horizon grew more and more distant...
With a final 'Humph!' Leona had him in the cruiser, Her back thoroughly screeching at her for not using her legs to lift the giant elf into the back seat. She quickly jumped in the drivers side, turning the key and as the hum of the engine affirmed its life, she reached out and put the air conditioner on full blast, sighing happily as the air turned from warm to pleasantly cool.
"Ah, Ac... How can I live without you?" Without a moments hesitation, she stepped on the gas, and quickly went on the highway to speed line it to the station.

Crazua continued asking questions and Tasal drove to the police station at a slow pace due to traffic. She was bouncing in her sit asking one question after another before he even had the chance to reply to the first.
"Crazua calm down, if the others are here we'll find them soon, sit still, keep your sit belt on, Don't stick your head out the window, that's it come back inside, good girl" He smiled at her childishness she was just the way he remembered her. It was a good thing he liked children because anyone else would be annoyed to insanity by Crazua's immaturity sometimes.
"I want to see Rei" Crazua pouted and crossed her arms. "This is too slow. Your metal carrige is shiny and pretty but there are too many of these. Let's run instead"
"Please stay calm we'll be there soon. This is how we do this here" He paused trying to think of a way to keep her busy then turned on the radio.
Crazua looked surprised. "This music, where does it come from? I can't see anyone singing near by yet I hear it so clearly"
"This" he said pointing at the device. "Is called a radio. You can use it to listen to music"
Crazua looked at it with curiosity. "How does it work? Are there tiny people in there? I don't understand"
"No, there ae no tiny people in there" Tasal laughed. "It's a machine, machines can be used for lots of purposes. Don't worry you'll get used to them"
"What kind of magic does it use" Crazua asked.
"There is no magic involved with this car, just technology" Tasal said, that of course only brought more questions from Crazua.

Manna looked to the left and then to the right. She paused then looked down and then up. "Looks a little bad." she thought as she walked around.
She came to a window that was slightly reflecting her. "Ugh." she grumbled and cursed under her breath. "It's worse than I thought." she said with her head smacking up against the window. "I look like a kid." Manna sighed kicking the wall.

"What's technology?" Crazua asked.
"Advanced machines" Tasal replied. He knew her questions were not going to end any time soon.
"How does it work?"
"I's just advanced"
At that Crazua pouted. "I'll understand!"
"I'm not saying you won't understand I'm just saying that I don't know"
Crazua blinked. "You're using it and you don't know how it works?"
Tasal tried to make it sound simple. "With things like cars and computers you don't need to know how they work to know how to use them. They're made so it's easier to use them than it is to figure them out. That way you only need to know a few basic things to get it to work. It's like I'm using the car not building one"
"What's a computer?" Crazua asked.
Tasal sighed, poor deprived spirit warrior. "It's this really fun and useful machine, very advanced. I have one at home, I'll show you later."
"Aw... but I want to see it!"
"We were going to to the police station to see if Rei or the other spirit warriors are there remember?" Tasal said hoping to stop Crazua from throwing a tantrum. The memories of how childish she could be were still quite clear in his mind even if it had been so many years.
"Ok, show me later." She then proceeded to play with the buttons of the radio until she found a song she liked. Then she started poking at the stearing wheel.
"Crazua be a good girl and sit still, I need to drive carefully, ok?" Tasal said.
"What does this level do?" She pulled it without warning setting the car to reverse. Luckily Tasal was able to hit the breaks on time and so was the car behind them. "Why is the person riding the metal carrige, I mean car behind us screaming words I don't understand?"
"It's best if you don't understand them and please don't mess with the cars controls" Tasal said still surprisingly calm, clearly he had developed quite a lot of patience from working with hyper children all the time.
"What does OK stand for?" Crazua asked.
"It's to say, alright, understood, do you agree, something like that"
"Ok, understood" Crazua said.

He was only dimly aware of movement, a strange humming in his ears as he knew he was passing great distances rather quickly. In his mind he cursed himself for not being more careful, and wondered if this would be his last day on the earth.
'At least... I can ....see Acelita' his mind reasoned, and memories of his daughters face drifted to the surface of his mind. her smiling face that resembled her mothers, Her laughter and the way she used to stomp her feet when she was frustrated... And the gravity of her loss hit him once more so powerful that he could barely contain the whimper of agony that escaped him. He couldn't die yet. He had to seek vengeance. He had to see Rei again and let her know that those responsible had paid dearly...
But he could barely sit up, let alone battle.
The sound of his whimper had brought Leona's attention to him, and her eyes flitted up to the rear view mirror and gazed upon the man who lay there. He was trying to move she could see, the muscles in his arms were flexing and his eyes were fluttering open. She felt a stab of guilt suddenly for rendering such a man so weak and helpless... but She quickly shrugged it off.
"Thats what you get for disobeying an officer you know..." she started, turning into the station parking lot and quickly radioing into the station that she would need someone to help with a very large and heavy perp.
"I got a huge elf here... I'm going to need someone to help me carry him in." She chirped through her radio, and looked back at him as she waited for a reply.
