Dion shut the door behind him and walked up the steps to prepare rooms for the guests. This would be troublesome, he could feel it. And if Sydra somehow managed to control his temper through the entire thing, Dion would be shocked.
He set up the rooms and came back down, "Rooms have been prepared for you Sir Pyromage and Lady Silpphire." Dion held his hands behind his back and looked over the room. He was concerned about Armana but that hardly showed.
"Master, I should think you should get her to bed now."
Sydra looked up almost as though his thought process had died and that's why he was still sitting there. "Of course, I trust you to take care of everything."
Dion gave a nod and moved from Sydra's path as he went up the steps. Dion walked down the steps and waited patiently for Pyro and Silpphire, "Whenever you are ready to retire, I will show you to your rooms."
Syd set Mani down with a sigh. "What have I gotten us into?" he inquired but did not expect an answer.

Pyromage was hyper, he wasn't sure he could sleep with all the excitement, but the sooner he went to sleep, the sooner he the next day would come. "I don't know if I'll sleep but I'll try, I want to start my heroic knightly journey soon!"
"Me too, then I can have me wish granted when we come back," Silpphire had a pretty good idea what she wanted to wish for. She wasn't sure if would be an option, but Nenshib did say anything...

Dion showed them to their rooms. They were right across the hall from each other. "Master Sydra's room is the one with the large double doors at the end of the hall. And mine is right over here, should you need anything in the middle of the night." He opened the doors for them and bowed before leaving. he shut his bedroom door behind him, gave a sigh and plopped on the bed.
My lady, Armana, you need to wake up., his mind called. You're worrying everyone. And you need to rest properly which means readjusting the energy form blacking out.
Armana shifted on the bed and forced her self awake. Thank you Dion.
My pleasure.
"You're awake!" Sydra jolted up and looked her over. "Do you need anything?"
"Sleep." She replied, "In the morning I should be fine. I'm just...exhausted and confused."
"Come then, we'll both get some rest."
Sydra hugged her tightly. She looked up at him and smiled. "You're handsome Syd, thank you, for taking care of me."
"it's because I love you." Sydra answered kissing her. "More than anything else."

"Thanks Dion," Silpphire went into her room and got comfortable. "Tomorrow everything will be perfect... tomorrow for sure. Armana will be fully recovered, we'll start our journey and soon we'll be back here as heroes..."
Pyromage peeked into his room then gave Dion a thumbs up. "Looks comfy, I might be able to get a good knight's sleep after all!" He went inside and Plushie followed.

(( I can edit if you don't want a time skip~ XD ))
The sky was still dark from the previous night’s storm. It was as though the planet felt the grief of the group and the rain tapped lightly on the rooftop. The steady beat of the rain woke him before Dion did, much to his surprise. How long had it been sine he had seen rain in this happy kingdom? The night before Sydra did not have the chance to actually notice and now as he lay in bad with Armana tightly in his arms it was her heartbeat or the rain to listen too. It was far more comfortable for him to try and listen to the rain as it did not increase his thirst.
The fact of the matter was he would love to keep his mind preoccupied. He didn’t want to wake Armana but he also had to think how they would solve this problem. He wanted to kill Aleth and Nenshib and he might have could he convince Armana that it was for the greater good. The only real trouble was proving the truth in that. Sydra felt her stir and he wondered if his careless thoughts were the cause.
Armana’s stirring proved to be nothing more than her cuddling closer to him. He gave a half smile and wondered if he’d ever make it out of bed today. His thoughts skipped to Dion who was normally in here scolding him to get up. As soon as he thought of him, the elder man entered. He glanced at the bed and caught site of the sleeping Armana.
Dion decided best to leave her to sleep for a bit and opened the curtains to wake Syd. He said nothing as he prepared things within the room and he did not noticed that Syd was in fact awake. Syd gave a low, irritated growl as Dion gave a sigh.
“Master Sydra,” Dion spoke looking at something on the nightstand. “it’s time to get up. I should need instruction for breakfast.”
“You’re a smart man, Dion.” Syd replied, “You’ll figure it out.”
“You’re already awake, my dear boy,” Dion continued, “It should be no trouble for you to get out of bed.”
“I’m comfortable.”
“I’m sure you are, Master Sydra, but there is a lot to do. And even if you don’t want to admit it, you’ll be the one to organize things properly.” Dion looked at Sydra and held up a robe for him.
Sydra slipped it on and groaned. “Sometimes, I think I’d be better off without you.”
“Only in the morning.” Dion replied with a chuckle, “Only in the morning.”
Sydra exited the room leaving Armana to sleep and sent Dion to wake up Pyro at least. Let the women sleep he figured. A light tap echoed on Pyro’s door.
“Sir Pyromage?” Dion spoke, “Master Sydra requests your assistance in the kitchen.”

"Five more minutes daddy!" Came Pyromage's reply.
At least Plushie was awake. He approached the door and twisted the door knob with his mouth. opening doors was a trick Pyromage taught him as soon as Plushie was big enough to reach the door knob. Plushie stood at the door looking curiously at Dion.
Pyromage hugged a pillow and spoke in his sleep. "Zzz... Finally... a knight... just like Nenshib... The Knight... so cool... Zzz..."

Dion patted Plushie on the head, "You're a good boy, my friend. Would you like old Dion to show you how to wake up little children?" He smiled and walked into the room. Dion pulled the curtains open, but since it was cloudy it did not do much. He gave a nod and went to the bed and pulled the blankets off of the bed to let the cold morning air do the job of waking up the young man.
Dion stood at the side of the bed, "Knights are usually up by now. Good knights aren't usually told more than once to get up, Sir Pyro." He figured that would jolt the boy up if the cold did not.

Pyromage covered his head with a pillow when he felt a little extra light, though it wasn't a lot. Then blankets were gone. "It's cold!" He sat up on her bed and held a small flame in his hands. He remembered the time he fell asleep holding a flame to keep warm... that did not end well. "Why do knights get up so early?"
Plushie hopped on the bed, wagging his tail.
"Plushie," Pyro extinguished the flame and hugged the wolf. "You're nice and warm..." Pyro remembered the events of the previous day after taking a few minutes to finish waking up fully. "The journey!" He jumped to his feet though he he was still standing on the bed. "That's today! It's today!" He hopped on the bed a few times before jumping off. "Morning Dion."

Suddenly Dion understood why and how Sydra could get so irritated at this boy. "Good Morning Sir Pyro. Master Sydra requests your presence in the kitchen."
Dion motioned to the door and hoped the boy would follow.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen Sydra was busy swearing at Dion's lack of ability to wake up Pyro and bring him down to set the table for breakfast. He groaned as he tried to go over everything. It was important everyone was well fed before they left.
Armana was contently sleeping wrapped up in what seemed like one hundred blankets.

"You're even calling my Sir Pyro already, you're officially very cool!" It was hard to tell if Pyromage felt infinite amusement or just prideful joy, most likely the second. "C'mon Plushie let's have a knightly breakfast!" Full of energy, Pyromage dashed to the kitchen and tripped over his own feet in the hallway. He took a moment to whine about how knights shouldn't trip, and they should certainly not trip in a painful way, then go up and kept running towards the kitchen with Plushie actually walking in the general direction instead of running.

Silpphire was fast asleep cuddling the blankets and dreaming about her return to Sugary Kingdom before the journey even started. In her wish everything had gone perfectly and her reward was the prince himself.

Dion was "so glad" to be "officially cool". He made no note of it as he rolled his eyes. He followed silently behind and gave a flinch when Pyro tripped over himself. Dion shook his head and imagined a young Sydra. Sydra had never really been loud or clumsy but the energy Pyro displayed did bring a smile to Dion's face. "Maybe this boy will lighten Syd up some.."
Armana was having a nice dream. She was in some flower fields and Syd was there being romantic and loving. A child that looked more like Sydra ran about giggling and trying to catch some butterflies. Sydra chased after the child with a smile on his face, saying he was "going to get" the boy, sending the child shrieking and giggling hysterically as he called for Sir Pyro the Butterfly Mage. Next to her Silpphire lay on the blanket looking up at the clouds.
Armana noted she looked sad...and then it happened. Before Mani could process Nenshib was there and Silpphire was requesting her prize for completing their journey. Silpphire was even crowned queen of the country. Everything was so perfect.
"Oh my." Mani voiced. She jolted awake upon realizing she had been inside Silpphire's dream just a second ago. "I should have seen that one coming..." Too tired to move or get up she just laid there for a moment or so more. She'd decide to get up when someone came for her.
Sydra heard the loud thunk of Pyro falling form the floor above him. His eye twitched. "Do I have to teach that boy to walk too?"

Sipphire giggled in her sleep, "Nenshib..." She slowly drifted out of sleep and noticed she was hugging a pillow, not her new husband, and the journey had not even started. She yawned and stretched. Today would be the start of the journey, and the the first step towards her goal. She got up and opened a window, letting the faint sunlight come in. She wasn't usually much of a morning person, but she was looking forward to the journey.

"Sydra!" Pyromage ran into the kitchen and called Sydra louder than was needed for someone who wasn't even in a different room from the one he was calling. "Dion said you wanted me to come over here... Good morning!" Pyro was certainly cheerful that morning.

"You're in an awfully good mood." Sydra voiced. He plopped some dishes into Pyro's hands against his better judgment. "You'll be helping me. Try not to break those." Wow, help masked in the form of training. This would hopefully teach the boy some grace. He went back to something and looked up, "Set the table, will you?"
While it was asked it was more of a demand. Dion watched in the doorway. Wow, teaching patience in the form of a spastic young man.

"It's my first day on my journey to become a real knight, so I'm in a very good mood thank you for noticing!" Pyromage received the dishes and stared at them. "Do knights set tables?" He remembered reading a story book when he was a little boy. It said something about knight accepting any mission, helping others and other stuff he couldn't quite remember. "Oh right, a knight will take on any noble mission, right? Leave it to me!" This time Pyromage was careful not to trip and drop the dishes. He placed a dish in front of each chair as it would seem logical.
Plushie had arrived sometimes during the table setting process and observed Pyromage. His behavior was very new to the wolf.
"I'm setting the table in a knightly way," Pyromage explained, as if sensing Plushie's silent question. He noticed Dion in the door way and gave a thumbs up as soon as he was done.

Dion gave a nod and a smile to indicate Pyro had done a wonderful job. "You might very well be on your way, Sir Pyro." he said.
"It's a long journey." Sydra piped in, "But even I'm impressed. What do you know about cooking? You wouldn't want to save a princess or something and not be able to tend ot their needs. Which is why you need to learn all of this stuff. I'm sure even Nenshib would be amazed at these skills."
"In fact," Dion continued, "I would imagine learning lowly chores like this would help you blend in into situations where you need to remain hidden."
Sydra gave a slow agreeing nod. "Have to be a jack of all trades to be a knight."
"Oh, Aye." Dion agreed, "The more skills you have at your disposal the better."
-=-=-=-= Armana groaned as she finally pulled herself out of bed. She looked around and gave a yawn, something really nice smelling was coming from the kitchen and even if she wanted to stay in bed her stomach would have made her get up.
Her movements were slow and somewhat labored, like she hadn't walked in a few days. "Yesterday must've taken a lot out of me." she pondered to no one in particular as she opened the door and shut it behind her with a small click.

Pyromage looked proud and happy at the positive encouragement. He really wasn't too hard to please. "Wow, knights need to learn a lot of things. That's no problem because I can cook!" Pyromage's head was filled with the images of the burnt inedible food he used to make. "Well... I can make fire in case there isn't a kitchen near by, and I can apply heat to the food, that's cooking right? It's just that the food always turns black and hard or into ashes..."

Silpphire exited her room in a good mood and ready to start the day and the journey. She saw Armana coming out of her room and was glad she was awake. Armana looked like she was doing better than the previous day. "Good morning, Armana. How are you feeling?"

"No, Pyro, that's not what anyone would consider cooking." Sydra's hand rose to his head in a 'why me' fashion. "But we will teach you how to do so."
Dion gave anod, "Everyone starts somewhere, Sir Pyro. So even if you burn things now, I'm sure you'll make a fine chef!" He leaned to Sydra, "Good call, teaching him to cook may teach him some control."
Syd whispered back, "That's the idea."
Dion was quick to pick up that posituve encouragement would be the best thing to use.
----- "Good morning, My lady." Armana smiled. She thought about how she felt yesterday as opposed to today. "I am feeling somewhat better. A little tired, but a lot happened. How are you? Did you sleep well?"

"I guess cooking is more complicated than I thought. I always thought making the food hot was all that needed to be done..." Pyromage had not heard any tales of brave knights saving princesses and having to cook for her, but he guessed the books simply skipped those parts and focused on the adventures. "A knight who can also be a chef, that sounds useful." It might not be what the word 'knightly' first brought to mind, but if it was a useful skill, then it was a skill a knight should have, to be always ready not matter what.
xoxox xox xoxox
"I'm glad you're doing better today. I'm sure you'll keep improving as the day goes by." Silpphire's good mood clearly showed. "I had a very good night and such a nice dream. You were in it too, and Sydra, Pyromage and prince Nenshib!" She almost squealed in joy at the last part.

"You'll learn." Syd answered with a sage like nod. "Don't worry, take small steps and everything will be fine. It just takes practice."
"And some patience." Dion added, "But anything worth having is worth working for."
---- Armana smiled. "Me too." she listened to Silpphire talk. "I'm glad to hear you slept so well. I had a dream with everyone in it too. I had a child...and you...you looked sad.." She pondered over it for a minute, "But maybe because Nenshib wasn't there.."

"Small steps, everything fine... Patience... Worth having, worth working..." Pyromage repeated some of the words more to himself than to anyone else. "Small steps, everything fine... Patience... Worth having, worth working..." He was trying to form a mental list of cool and knightly things to say. "Small steps, everything fine... Patience... Worth having, worth working..." The knights in the books always had something to say that inspired people. "Okay, I got that, I'm ready now!"
xoxox xox xoxox
"You know... I was kind of sad at the start of my dream, but then Nenshib arrived and made me queen it was really cool. Now that you mention the child, I kind of remember a child, he looked like his father. "I'll miss my wonderful prince in this journey but when I came back I'll hold him true to his word!"
