Chaos was beginning to get hungry. If he let that thirst get too bad, he'd drink the first person that said something to him. He took a few deep breaths, wondering if Miss Nekish knew anything about the crew. He made a silent promise to keep Gojaru from throwing Catzuki off the ship. Because if Gojaru did it, Chaos would get little pleasure fromt he action. No, he wanted to throwher out. If she wasn't whining she was making Gojaru's life difficult. Chaos thought, that she must not know about proper ettiquete when dealing with employees. Especially ones with access to weapons.
"Commands?" Chaos queried.

Fed up with the situation Gajaru responded to Chaos' question with a message that sounded more like it was directed to Catzuki than Chaos. "Yes, I do have command because I am the captain of this ship and what I say shall be done. Anyway who doesn't like it will"
"Don't give a speech, there's no time to waste" Catzuki interrupted. Apperently she noticed that the reply was directed at her.
"Miss Nekish, I will have to ask you to stay out of the actions of the crew and let us do our job" Gojaru said. He was upset, very angry, it was impossible to miss that fact yet it didn't seem that the neko cared in the least.
"I don't care, you're just the hired help, if I disapprove of you then you leave with a small payment for your time and I'll get someone better to do the job. Because you're not indispensable, you're just like the others" Catzuki said.
Gojaru wasn't certain who she was referring to by 'the others' but he didn't like it. "You don't know me so don't conpare me to anyone. Just sit quietly and let me do my job"
With a loom in her eyes that screamed 'I'm only pretending to listen to get you to shut up but I have full intentions to cause trouble' Catzuki nodded. "Fine"
She agreed too quickly and Gojaru knew it wouldn't last. He decided to test things anyway. First he turned on the ship's AI.
"Godd to be back my beloved captain" the ship greeted him. "Hello Chaos it's nice to see you too handsome. So who else is on the party? Friend or crasher? ...doesn't look like too much a party crasher to my, just a curious passer by. Shall we invite him in?"
Gojaru knew right away that the ship, with it's cute girl voice and informal language was asking if contact should be established with the other ship detected near by.
"Yes, contact that ship. Chaos be ready for battle. We'll see what that ship wants then attack toguether if it's a friend and if not we have a new target. Our mission will be to disable all enemy weapons and engines to prevent them from escaping, then rescue the hostages without casualties, captured the ones responsible, eat some chips and continue our main mission. Let's hit those ships in the right spot and they'll be one in no time"
Catzuki yawned louder than necessary then smiled innocently as if saying 'I'll cause trouble for you later'.

There are people you like, those you don't like, those you can take or leave and those you would shove out the air lock the first chance you got. Gojaru was someone Chaos liked. Seth was someone Chaos didn't like. Yuki could be taken or left and Catzuki Nekish was most definately one of those you would shove out the air lock the first chance you got. She was certainly not sugar coating anything, and to insult his captain was to insult him. In fact, Chaos strongly felt that he wished he had guard duty for her. He might conviently forget to look after her.
'I don't care, you're just the hired help' he heard her say. Of course they were. Isn't that all they ever were, still, being appreciative that they had the time and best equipment to help the spoiled little neko would have been nice. Even if the job was about money, it was still nice when your employer wasn't trying to take over everything you had known for years. He then heard Gojaru ask to be let to his job, then Catzuki's 'Fine'.
Chaos would kill someone if the rest of the mission went like this. He just wasn't sure if it would be suicide, homicide or a mercy killing. If he killed Gojaru, he'd set the man free of the wench, Catzuki. However, if he killed Catzuki, everyone would be free; but they would be out of the job. It was a moment later he heard the familar voice of the AI calling him handsome. Chaos only smiled. If he said anything, Catzuki may be up to pestering him rather than Gojaru. As close as the two were, Chaos was still not sure he'd bail his friend out of female troubles. Upon hearing to be ready for battle he couldn't help but comment in off hand mumbles. Something in his native Plutonian language that said 'The ship or our employer?'
Although, on an upside, with the battle coming Chaos felt it almost difficult to control his excitement. Which also meant he could stop plotting to kill or lock Miss Nekish in the holding cells.

Flashback: "Make sure not to fail your mission Nekish, that's all."
"I never fail a mission" The young neko girl left the hidden station and walked across the crowded place. Sometimes the black market was even worse than a mall in a weekend afternoon. She ignored the glaces she got, she knew very well that they disapproved of her kind, not nekos but jinxes. Nekos with black hair were considered bad luck and many raices, nekos included with golden eyes were also bad luck.
She was a double jinx and she was treated as such loosing all faith of people having anything but greed and selfish intentions... except for him... the elf who had proven to be different. 'Hakimo... I'm coming, just a bit longer, I'll be there...'
Gojaru knew all too well Catzuki would cause trouble later but for the time being he tried to focus on the battle ahead. He sent a signal to approaching ship and left the communication link open for who ever was in charge to contact the Starlight Falcon at any time. The prisoner ship was yat to make a mood. "It looks live their radars haven't picked us up yet, we should disable the ship while we can take them by surprise" with a knowing look he added. "This is your chance" as if saying 'this is your chance to get some of that frustration out of your system Chaos because if we don't stay cool and throw then we'll be jobless.'

Spectre, finally snapping out of his daze, spoke once again. “There.” He said pointing up at the ship. You see the small black hole under the third big engine? That’s where the fighters come out. We need to find a way to block that passageway up for we attack the bridge. The bridge shot will immobilize the ship… but they’ll send hordes of fighters out after us. What we need to do is send a shot, or a boarding party presumed to be friendly, into the main hangar to dock. Once inside, that party will block the runway, and will let no fighters out of the bay.
The loud crackly voice came over the intercom, asking the starlight falcon if she knew where a Neko slave transport ship would be in the general vicinity. “Kye Vacewind…” Spectre said out loud. “Name sounds familiar. Anyways, this is Captain Spectre, formerly of the 4th Davion guards. The slave ship you seek is the same one we’re trying to liberate. Can you block up the flight deck on their ship without causing too much of a ruckus while we shoot out the bridge on this monster? From what I see on this craft, it is equipped with a Class Phi plasma sniper cannon, mounted atop the ship. We’ll have a clear shot for only another five minutes with the turn ratio that the ship in on right now, before we have to line up for another shot.”
“We have to work fast though. They’re charging for another light-jump.”

"I'll go in." Chaos volunteered. "I can take the Doc with me." he then added. "Despite her...being her. She's pretty good with most plasma weapons."
Chaos disliked having to do things any way other then making it up as they went. He remembered a dozen or so missions that had been planned, where the plans just didn't work and they resorted back to old ways. Sure it was messy, but it always got the job done.

"Take me with you!" Gojaru paused and realized that what he had said didn't fit the cool, calm collected and handsome captain image he was going for. "What I mean to say is that if you think you need any extra assistance I'm willing to come along."
Catzuki rolled her eyes as it was obvious that Gojaru was desperate to get away from her which was a fact she didn't care too much about.

"Hello? Sir?" Hakimo continued to call. "Mr. Guard sir"
"Shut up! hostages are supposed to be quiet! The boss said to keep you alive but he didn't say in good health"
"I'm sorry if I bothered you. You must be having a bad day to be in such a mood. Is there anything I can do for you?"
The guard gave Hakimo a strange look. The elf was by far the strangest hostage he ever had to keep an eye on.

"Whatever. Whoever does it, I don't care. You block that exit, I'll blow the bridge, and we can put together a boarding party. However Captain, I do suggest you stay with you ship. It gets hi-jacked and we have no ride home. Judging by the size I'm gonna say there are at least a thousand enemies on that ship. Whether or not we have to kill them all is different. Once we get inside, I will hack into the mainframe, and trigger a fake self-destruct call. All the crew will jettison without a second thought, and then the cruiser is ours. We take whatever hostages are still alive onto the starlight falcon, and then shoot that big peice of junk into the nearest star." Spectre turned around and faced Gojaro, before whipping out a plasma sword and showing him. "I will join the boarding party shortly after I annihilate the bridge."
Spectre exited the Starlight Falcon's bridge and headed down the main corridor. The floor lit up under him, and, following the ship's directions, was soon situation in the seat of a very powerful top-mounted plasma weapon. "This is more like it." he said, sliding into the leather seat.

"Very well but if you need help call me" Gojaru said in his cool, calm and collected captain mode. Catzuki gave him a mocking smile and Gojaru was tempted to childishly stick his tongue out at her as if to let her not she couldn't get in his nerve, even if she really could but he decided against it. 'A million strange experiments are more pleasant than that neko' of course in the past he wouldn't have said that while he was in the middle an experiment as the subject. He took a deep breath and tried to stay cool, Catzuki was throwing him off guard and the annoyance would affect his performance if he didn't watch it. "A star..." Gojaru grinned at the mention of a star as he remembered the special device that have the ship it's name. As much as he wanted to use it, it would be a senseless waste with plenty of natural stars all around. "Sounds like a plan."
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
"Why are you asking me if i need something if you're the one who's locked up? Are you stupid?" The guard asked.
Hakimo blinked "Well no... I just thought that you wanted to talk about your troubles to relieve stress?"
The guard shook his head, a strange one indeed...

Yuki had taken to a battle station as well. Her voice came over the intercom. "Ready to go, Captain!" she sounded more like a child in a candy store than a doctor or trained soldier.
"I'll take the boarding crew." Chaos informed Gojaru. "The Doc and the new guy can handle the other stuff." Chaos shook his head, he almost wanted all those fighters to come out. At the very least, the new guy was competent. Chaos went down the hall, to prepare everything for the boarding crew, stopping at hte intercom to page Yuki.
"Hey Sugar princess." he said. "What do you need, Chaos-kun?" Yuki replied. "You need to take out exit for their fighter ships." Chaos informed. "From here?" came a semi-pout. "Are you telling me that the woman who can wield a plasma weapon twice her size can't make the shot?" Chaos answered, it was the most reassuring he could be. "After that, you're with me and the new guy for the boarding crew." "Okie dokie!" she replied. "It'll be done." "And yes." Chaos added, "This is for the fewest amount of casualties." "Consider it done then!"
Chaos gave a sigh. He almost hated dealing with her. But he was quick enough to know he would have to bring her on the boarding crew or risk her sneaking in to care for wounded prisoners. That happened one of the first times they had to do a mission with her as the new girl. They got everything off the ship, but she snuck on board the enemy ship to help unjured innocents. He distinctly remembered having to go back and save her.
"Awaiting Confirmation." Yuki said, meaning she was waiting for Gojaru to confirm everything Chaos had said or at least tell her to fire.

"Let's see what your crew can do" Catzuki said and then it became obvious that this wasn't something she agreed about simply to do the right thing or because of what Hakimo would think though she did consider that. This was also a test.
"I see, you're testing us on this mission" Gojaru said.
"Indeed, if you die here you're of no use to me" The way the neko said it annoyed the captain greatly.
"Let's do this, we'll fallow Chaos' plan, fire Yuki-chan!" Gojaru announce, the sooner they succesfully accomplished this mission the better. Then hopefully, maybe, just maybe, Catzuki would stop treating them like a bunch of incompetent fools. 'Unappreciative jinx.

"Sometime today would be AWESOME!" Spectre screamed into the comm system. The ship was preparing to make the light jump, and doing it d**n fast. Maybe he wouldn't send the ship into the sun after all. maybe they'd sell the d**n thing. Maybe Spectre could get his old ship back finally from that d**n trader, and maybe he could resume the life of a gun for hire, but there was something new here. There was something safe in this ship that Spectre had never felt before.
"Don't get attached." Spectre said aloud. This was just another d**ned assignment. There was nothing for him here. He had lied but a few seconds ago. He felt nothing. Spectre lived for nothing. The forty year old man that Spectre had been before was gone. He had the body and soul of a twenty year old again. He had the mind of a psycho killer. He was a machine.
But god he missed his wife and son.

The Doctor made the shot. Clean, clear...and explosive. It caused her to giggle despite her kind nature. 'Well, that wasn't bad.' she thought. Still she wondered what else had to be done.
Chaos was too busy to notice anything, as he was trying ot get around without disturbing Seth. Last thing he wanted was to get Seth angry. So far, he hadn't seen her. Even with Catzuki on board, his luck was surprisingly good. Still preperations were just about done.

"Great shot Yuki-chan!" Gojaru said, of course he would never pass up an opportunity to compliment a pretty girl. For a moment he wondered what would happen when Catzuki and Seth met, though they haven't crossed each others paths yet it was vow to happen sooner or later in the trip he had a feeling would be long. Hopefully they would get along because if not the war would surely tare his beloved Starlight Falcon apart.
"Good to see there are competent people in this crew, at least one" Catzuki commented. It was another of her unnecessary little extra comments that should have stayed in her head. The kind of comment that disguised as a compliment was meant to bash others. She was feeling stressed and defensive since Hakimo was kidnapped, she was very worried about him. The elf was way too nice for his own good he needed to learn to be a little more firm.
Well at least she hasn't upset Yuki directly or else Gojaru would be really upset. For now he tested the 'ignore her and she'll eventually shut up' theory and hoped it worked if not he would have to talk to the neko and either quit, get fired or by a miracle come to an agreement.

“YOU INCOMPETENT IDIOTS!” Spectre screamed into the microphone. “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?” The back of the ship, the cargo / docking bay was still wide open. The shot nailed the bridge and decapitated the glass dome, sending several piraes into a very painful void.
The hanger lit up like a hornets nest. Hundreds of fighters flew out of the bay like nothing Spectre had ever seen before. “I TOLD YOU TO BLOCK THE d**n BAY WITH A SMALL CRAFT FIRST!” Spectre said. “YOU JUST KILLED US ALL!”
Spectre lit up the incoming ships as best he could. Scores of fighters poured out from the hanger bay as nothing Spectre had ever seen. All different shapes and sizes roared towards the Starlight Falcon. Burners of green and red and blue exploded from the same area, and spread. Lasers and concussion missiles etched space and sprayed out contrails that look liked a vast spider’s web. Spectre did the best he could shooting down the missiles, incoming towards The Falcon. “F*** OFF!” Spectre screamed into the microphone as he blew several missiles that would actually hit, out of the air.
“Backup needed!” Spectre shouted over his personal spacecaster radio. “Backup needed! Anyone who can hear me, engage those pirate fighters.”
“GOJARO!” Spectre purposely mispronounced his name. “PLEASE TELL ME YOU HAVE A BOMBAST LASER ON THIS MONSTER. ECM, ECCM, EMP, ANYTHING WIDESPREAD!?”

Kye's fingers raced over the controls in his ship as the beams flashed out of the craft he was communicating with. The ship began to maneuver as if it was being shot at, but he quickly stopped after he saw the bridge of the Neko slave ship explode from the laser. His fingers raced over the controls and his ship quickly headed towards the docking bay of the Neko slave ship. He knew that it wasn't being covered, so he approached it quickly. Maybe I will be able to get some credit for this after all... He thought to himself as he activated the shields on his ship and began diverting power appropriately for an attack. He watched the red dots forming on his radar scanner and he sighed as the multi-sized crafts approached him. Let's see what these slavers can do... He thought as he grasped the control stick of his ship and spiraled out of the way of a few laser bolts as they raced past his ship. "Eat this!" He said out loud as he pulled the trigger several times and lasers flew out of the two turrets at the front of his ship. The lasers were answered with two explosions and Kye quickly moved the ship out of the way of the debris. He continued to maneuver and attack, back and forth, over and over again.
As his ship bobbed and weaved between the lasers and he shot lasers out of his ship he said over the spacecaster radio, "Roger that, i'm currently engaging the space pirates. Any help would be appreciated. Sending ship specs so you know who I am." After he finished he pressed a button on his console quickly to send the specs of his ship to the person who had just sent a distress signal over the radio. After he pressed the button he quickly spiraled the ship to get out of the way of a rocket that had just flown at him. He began to turn around to shoot a ship when his monitor told him of the rocket coming back. "Jesus Christ on a crutch!" He said as he began to move the ship to get out of the way of the rocket as it came back. Abruptly he turned the ship and turned the throttle on full and the rocket flew into a pirate ship and the explosion sent debris into another ship. The two explosions caused the destruction of about 4 ships total, but Kye didn't bother to count, he was already engaging more ship. "Gah... when will these things ever die!" He exclaimed as he pulled the trigger more and continued the dance of death with the other pilots.

"CHAOS!" Yuki shrieked into the communcation line directly in his ear. He flinched.
"Aye?"
"YOU TOLD ME IT WAS THAT ONE!!" she persisted. "NOW LOOK AT THE TROUBLE! THIS IS NOT THE FEWEST CASUALITIES!!!!"
"Mm?" Chaos answered, "My mistake?"
"Don't even play innocent!" Yuki screamed at him.
"I did say exit for their fighter ships, Princess." Chaos replied casually.
She stopped talking, those had been her orders. She trembled, she really messed up. Why didn't she do what he had said? She started to sob. "I'm a doctor..." she sniffled.
Chaos would catch a world of trouble for making her cry. He gave a shrug and started back to whatever it was he had been doing. Which at one point seemed awfully like boarding crew preperations, but now seemed much different.
Still old habits die hard. Chaos remained calm despite whatever trouble was going on. Maybe he didn't fully grasp the situation, but more it was that he didn't care. As long as the job got done. True enough they had to save the slaves, that was still first priority; but he was not going into the ship filled with pirates. Not with the doc or the new guy.
His fingers raced along buttons, buttons he knew well. Ship specs appeared before him. He gave a nod, before adjusting a few things, then went back to his typing as though he were a lifeless doll. From here he couldn't do much else. Knowing Gojaru he would catch on quickly to his plans. Always up to the captain. Chaos had spent too much of his life helping Gojaru look cool.
"Aye Aye, Cap'n." Chaos mumbled.

"Don't yell at my crew big P!" Gojaru yelled in reply to Spectre with a bit of space pirate slag to refer to a high ranked officer slipping through.
There was a slight giggle from Catzuki.
Forcing himself to sound calf Gojaru turned his head slowly and plastered a forced smile on his face gritting his teeth. "Is there something wrong miss Nekish?"
"This is amusing" came her reply accompanied by a grin and oddly she didn't even sound mean or mocking as she said it, just honest.
Gajaru blinked and thought it was best to to reply. He clicked on a switch to filter the call for backup only to certain frequencies. He didn't want old enemies showing up to 'help' especially those who though he was either locked up or dead even if he was technically 'free' of charge but it was complicated to explain.
"So will you reveal the ship's true potential?" Catzuki asked.
"You knew all along I had more than one illegal wepon here didn't you?" Gojaru said.
"Bounty hunter and space pirates can get along as long as they're not in each other's way and they tend to hear a lot about each other" Catzuki replied.
"Looks like we got another ally" Gojaru said looking at the ship specs on the Starlight Falcon's radar. Greens are friends and reds are targets, blue were police and guard ships, yellow are pirate and hunter ships that were known but are not friends or allies, those should mind their own business, purple were civilians" Targets, that the word he usually used for enemies, just targets for his beloved ship.
"Yeah I know the colors" Catzuki replied.
"Well it's too soon to show too much maybe something convenient will happen" he grinned picturing the possibilities which could and possibly already were on their way of being achieved with the ship. He checked it out and looked amused. 'Gotta thank chaos for always making me look even cooler than I already am' Then he caught Yuki's voice in the communication link. "Yuki-chan? Are you ok? Chaos was that Yuki-chan sounding very upset just now?"
"Hey mister flirt don't get distracted" Catzuki hissed.
"sorry miss Nekish my crew comes first" Gojaru replied.

Kye continued to weave in and out of the ships and finally he exclaimed, "Die d**n you!" and he slammed his hand onto a button on the console of his ship. The inside of his ship turned to a light red color as the energy was diverted and the ship began to vibrate. Beams flashed past his ship and were diverted by the shield of his ship. "Thank God for good technology..." he said to himself as the ship suddenly stopped shaking. There was silence in the ship for a few moments and then Kye yelled "DIE!" and the space around his ship exploded in blue light. The sphere of energy expanded quickly and then slowed, but continues to expand forming a large blue star in the middle of the space pirate swarm. Followed by a chain of explosions, which were immediately absorbed into the massive star, unfortunately, the star wasn't nearly enough to destroy even half of the enemy ships.
Kye's fingers raced across the console and he pressed buttons rapidly as he redirected powers back to his shield, lasers, and the other functions of his ship. The back-up generator turned on and power began to be restored more quickly, but Kye wasn't so sure that it was going to turn back on in time. He cursed to himself as he continued to press the buttons. The light of the explosion of energy was slowly beginning to fade. He looked at his monitors and exclaimed "Oh... hell... I don't have enough power yet!!" He quickly began pressing buttons and he sent a message to the allied ship flying nearby. The message read, "This is Kye Vacewind, pilot of the Typhoon model fighter. I am the cause of the large blue star, I am out of energy as a result of the explosion, and I am going to eject. The star wasn't big enough to take out enough of them, so I will probably get overwhelmed shortly. I will launch my escape pod towards the vicinity of your ship. Please, pick me up. I'll send a distress signal when I get within five hundred meters of your ship." He sent the message and then began to prep the ship to fly in the opposite direction of where he launched his pod and cause another explosion with the last of its energy, also causing it to self-destruct. He patted the console and said, “I’ll miss you, even though I just met you.” Then he got up from the console and wedged himself into the escape pod and pressed the button inside. The door closed, and the pod shook as it ejected from the ship. It jetted off towards the ship and he looked out the small window at his ship as its engines turned on and it shot out of view. “Good-bye.” He said as a blue and red star, much smaller than the first one formed in the distance, followed by a few explosions in the distance. He looked through the window and saw the other ship growing in size and he pressed the distress signal button and then folded his arms to wait.

"We have another guess coming" Gojaru said activating the mechanisms to pick up the escape pod.
"What is this? A hotel?" Catzuki sarcastically said.
"Hey, he tried to assist us so try to be nice" Usually Gojaru would reply to the hotel comment with something flirty but he knew not to say such things to Catzuki.
"You mean because you delayed should the Starlight Falcon's secret technology? Hide it too well and they'll think the ship is weak. But who cares, we could use some more competent crew members" Catzuki said.
Gojaru took a deep breath and counted to ten. He was really being tested today. "Glad you approve" he muttered with a hint of sarcasm before opening a communication link to the escape pod that was being brought in.
