I don't have the same speed/dexterity in my little finger and ring finger, so I find it hard to game that way ^^; I also get confused at how I set the button placements...so...yeah. The main keyboard gaming I do is Dance With Intensity (compy version of DDR where you just have to use the arrow keys ^^; )

I use my index middle and right finger. I don't really use my little finger or thumbs for anything when I game. As for button placement, it's way easier with more finger, just put your finger on the button and keep it there, since you're using more fingers you rarely have to switch between buttons. I can only use the TV's remote with my thumb, I use my index for the cell. I have zero skill with my thumbs when it comes to gaming.

But you just said you use a s d q w e z x c keys, so you'd HAVE to switch rather than just leave your fingers on the keys. Also, you'd be more likely to use your little finger for gaming that way because of the a q z keys/home row positioning o.o;

Not all of them at once. During game play it's just asd or sdf and the arrow keys with my other hand, z and x are for select, start, things that I don't use often, and the top keys are the Rs and Ls. I don't use my little finger, it goes on top of caps lock or shift which don't really do anything for the game.
I move my hands all over the key board when typing so my little finger and thumbs don't really get a lot of exercise. I can look at the screen, though I'm used to looking at the keyboard, but even when I'm not looking I never keep my hands still.
Home? Home is above end near delete, I don't really use that one. ^^;;
